Dori's Wedding Vision

This page was created to help everyone understand what's going on inside my brain with my wedding ideas.

Andy & I have provided pictures of the venue as well as pictures that I like -- all related to the design of the wedding.

The main overall colors of the wedding are: mocha brown & apple red with mixed metals.

The overall theme of the wedding is euro-asian.

The Lobby and Theatre will be decorated with a more Classic European look...like an old movie from the 40s. The Galleria will have more of a mixed Asian theme that really utilizes the wedding colors red & brown.

The bridesmaids will be wearing mocha brown dresses with apple red shrugs. The groomsmen will be wearing brown suits with red accents.

The Lobby will host all of the bar & food tables.

The room will have up to 8 (6'x3') rectangular food tables. We can decorate this table with white table clothes, gold lamps, and vintage suitcases.

The galleria consists of:

The Band, Dance Floor, a Lounge Area, Bride & Groom Seating Area and a VIP Seating Area.

I want this room to be a mix of Asian themes from India to China to Tibet to Japan, maybe even Russia, yet not distinctly any of those things.

The Bride & Groom area should be elevated somehow to hold the red & gold Bridal Bench.

The Lounge Area should have a plethera of ottoman benches and coctail tables.

Would like to drape light fabrics (and netting) from the outside perimeter of the chandelier area to create a tented elegant look...preferably with reds & golds.

The long banquet tables in the VIP section will have brown table cloths with gold pots and clematis niobe plants (shown below).

These are examples of room design ideas that I like.

I like how the tent wall are flat fabric and not draped curtains.

I like the red fabric hanging from the ceiling.

An awesome example of a bridal area.

Simple wall divider.

I would really love to make this Yin Yang Ottoman idea to happen in the lounge area.
